Microsoft PowerPoint

Build engaging slide presentations.

1Slides & Layouts

A presentation is made of slides. Each slide uses a layout (like Title Slide or Title and Content) that arranges placeholders for text and images. Add, duplicate, or reorder slides in the panel on the left.

2Design & Themes

Apply a Theme from the Design tab to give every slide a consistent look with matching colors and fonts. You can also change the background for emphasis.

3Adding Content

Insert text boxes, pictures, shapes, tables, and SmartArt. Keep slides simple — use short bullet points and large visuals instead of long paragraphs.

4Animations & Transitions

Transitions control how one slide changes to the next. Animations control how objects appear on a single slide. Use them sparingly so they support, not distract from, your message.

5Presenting

Press F5 (or Slide Show) to start the presentation full screen. Speaker Notes let you keep reminders only you can see in Presenter View.
