WHERE PRESSURE MEETS PRIVILEGE.
Organize data and calculate with formulas.
Excel organizes data in a grid of cells. Columns are labeled with letters (A, B, C) and rows with numbers (1, 2, 3). A cell's address combines both, like A1. A file is a workbook, and each tab in it is a worksheet.
Type text or numbers directly into cells. Use number formats to show currency, percentages, or dates. Add borders and colors to make tables easy to read.
Every formula starts with an equals sign (=). Functions do the math for you: =SUM(A1:A5) adds a range, while AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX find the average, smallest, and largest values. Drag the fill handle to copy formulas.
Sort data alphabetically or by value, and use Filters to show only the rows you need. Freeze Panes keeps headings visible while you scroll through long lists.
Turn numbers into visuals. Select your data and insert a column, line, or pie chart to spot trends and present results clearly.
